What will happen during my Lip Augmentation treatment?

The lips are thoroughly cleaned prior to treatment. Then a local anaesthetic cream is applied to the lips.

The Juvederm products are formulated with added lidocaine for added comfort, to ensure the most comfortable treatment possible. As the anaesthetic takes effect you are likely to feel numbness and a bit of tingling in the area that has been treated – similar to when the dentist numbs your teeth.

The actual lip augmentation treatment takes roughly 30 minutes. After the injection, the area injected is massaged to make sure it is properly distributed and the results are even.

You may notice some bruising, swelling, and redness around the mouth area. This will quickly settle within a few days but can last up to 2 weeks.
